A Few More Details Emerge About Gabriel Kreuther’s New Project

Yesterday, Danny Meyer’s Union Square Hospitality Group announced Gabriel Kreuther, the chef at the Modern, would be leaving to start his own restaurant. Today, he tells the Times that the new project will be “French-American” and is in the very early stages — the earliest it will open is the second half of 2014. He will “probably” stay at the Modern until the end of this year. And what’s Danny Meyer looking for in Kreuther’s replacement? He tells the Times he’s keeping his mind “really open.” [NYT, Earlier]
