September’s Cronut Flavor Is Fig and Mascarpone

Twelve days from now, the weather will likely be a little cooler, and as such, Dominique Ansel will begin selling cronuts with less summery flavors. September’s will be filled with mascarpone cream with homemade fig jam. For the first time in its brief and lauded existence, the pastry will be topped with a honey glaze as well as slices of dried Turkish figs. And in case you didn’t hear the news this morning, the superstar baker will probably be doing joint book and cronut signings around this time next year. [Related]
