Soho’s Cherrywood Kitchen Closed

The modern Chinese restaurant that opened in Soho in March with Jean Georges and Monkey Bar chef Chris Cheung in the kitchen appears to have closed down sometime during the last several weeks. Cherrywood’s OpenTable and Seamless accounts are inactive, and would-be customers report that the restaurant is completely shuttered with the lights off. Cheung was serving a menu of dishes like smoked-eel-stuffed chicken and lamb shoulder served with bone marrow fried rice. [Earlier]
