Of course: Professional pastry chef Wendy Israel is helping owners Chris and Jennifer Russell write the recipes at Treat House, which opens in a couple of weeks on the Upper West Side, and may in fact be the first brick-and-mortar expressly dedicated to selling Rice Krispies treats, Today reports. Planned flavors include bubble gum (there’s a wrapped Dubble Bubble atop each one), cappuccino, caramel sea salt, and blueberry pie. Team Treat House will sell twelve varieties at any given time, and will use cane sugar instead of the refined stuff in their house-made marshmallows. In a move that’ll surely make PTAs everywhere ecstatic, ten cents from the sale of every square they bake will be donated to the Food Bank for NYC. [Today]
