Over at Bedford + Bowery, photographer Daniel Savage documents the key players at Max Fish to commemorate the final day of this Ludlow Street institution. Owner Ulli Rimkus announced earlier this year that the bar will reopen in Williamsburg after 24 years on the Lower East Side, pretty much because it has become prohibitively expensive to operate any business in the neighborhood that isn’t called 7-Eleven or bankrolled by opulent Russian minigarchs.
