Ghaya Oliveira Named Pastry Chef at Daniel

A former stockbroker who started at Café Boulud as a commis in the pastry department back in 2001 then worked her way up to become executive pasty chef at Bar Boulud and Boulud Sud has been named pastry chef at chef Daniel Boulud’s flagship restaurant, according to a press release. Ghaya Oliveira, who was also named a 2012 James Beard Award finalist for “Outstanding Pastry Chef,” has been replaced at Bar Boulud and Boulud Sud by new pastry-chef-in-residence Tyler Atwell.
