Cronut mania is now being harnessed for the greater good: From now until Friday, August 2, at 8 a.m., anyone with a NYC delivery address who donates a minimum of $5 to the Food Bank for New York City through this site will be eligible to win a limited-edition, passion-fruit-flavored cronut. Each dollar counts as one chance to win; two very lucky winners will be selected each day — one will be the day’s highest donor; the other selected at random. Soon-to-be proud owners of a new cronut will be notified by text or e-mail, and all cronuts will be delivered to winners on August 3 or August 4 (“within six hours of them leaving the fryer,” the site notes). All proceeds go to the Food Bank. Get started, or learn more about the Cronut Project, right here. [The Cronut Project, Earlier]
