Celebrate New Orleans at Maiden Lane; Pork Slope’s Crab Boil

Maiden Lane is paying tribute to New Orleans this Wednesday with jambalaya and Cajun shrimp. Food, drinks, and music start at 6 p.m. [Grub Street]

Pork Slope is hosting a crab boil tomorrow at 5 p.m. Blue crab will be served with corn, potatoes, and sausage. You get six pieces for $28, and twelve for $54. [Grub Street]

• A month of nighttime markets at the Hester Street Fair kicks off this Saturday with a Filipino food fest with food from Jeepney and Maharlika. Wine and beer gardens, live bands and D.J.’s, and a rotation of more than 60 vendors are out until 10 p.m. every Saturday in August, so you can shop, schmooze, and dine under the stars.
