Eater San Diego finds out that former Top Chef contestant and Searsucker chef-owner Brian Malarkey won’t be sitting in the comfy chairs and downing perfectly prepared bites of food alongside Nigella Lawson, Ludo Lefebvre, and Anthony Bourdain when The Taste reconvenes for season two. The show was a “great experience,” Malarkey wrote in a statement, but he’s now concentrating efforts on expanding his restaurant group to Los Angeles and getting his newest project open “at the end of this year.” [Eater San Diego, Earlier]
