Four occupants of a car that veered out of control last night and plowed through a “football field’s worth of sidewalk” before colliding with the façade of Michel Richard’s Pennsylvania Avenue restaurant Central are said to be “recovering,” the Washington Post reports. NBC reporter Shomari Stone posted this photo of the chaotic scene; the restaurant’s patio was left damaged, but thankfully no other significant injuries or loss has been reported. Richard, who is in New York prepping his new Palace Hotel projects Pomme Palais and Villard Michel Richard, is said to be heading back to D.C. to support his team there. [WP, Related]
