What to Eat at Distilled, a Momofuku Alum’s Pub-Style Restaurant in Tribeca

This sprawling, 110-seat restaurant on West Broadway is styled after a classic American public house, and the idea is that Distilled will serve as the neighborhood’s social anchor. Chef Shane Lyons, who’s a Momofuku Noodle Bar vet, is doing riffs on hearty bar bites: His menu includes Country Fried Duck & Waffles (with fancy “French toast-style waffles”), Beer-Battered Onion Rings, and Distilled Wings. This kind of food goes well with booze, of course, and the Guinness Book of World Record’s “World’s Fastest Bartender,” Sheldon Wiley, is overseeing cocktails with Benjamin Wood. You can enjoy their drinks, which are made with chamomile-infused rye, chocolate bitters, and apricot shrub, on the restaurant’s big, elevated outdoor patio. Check out the food and the menu, straight ahead.
