As far as cronut developments go, we thought enduring a brutal Summer of Cronuts was arguably better than watching Spike Lee’s Summer of Sam — no disrespect to John Leguizamo — but we’re no longer sure about anything now that the first wave of unofficial merchandising has come into the picture. These “Keep Your Eye on the Cronut” posters are pretty handsome, but since baker Dominique Ansel is busy limiting cronut orders and staring down the competition, we’re not so sure how jazzed he’d be about seeing one of these.
