It hasn’t been a good week for gum: In response to the FDA’s investigation of the dangers of foods and drinks with added caffeine, Wrigley is temporarily halting production, sales, and marketing of its new Alert Energy Caffeine Gum. Props to Wrigley for listening to the FDA’s legitimate public-health concerns. Monster should take note. [Earlier, Earlier, NBC, Earlier]
