The fate of the small and chef-endorsed public market, which seeks a permanent home within the old Fulton Fish Market building, has been uncertain after the outcome of a rezoning vote in March that left Seaport landlord Howard Hughes Corporation with a green light to redevelop a significant portion of the neighborhood. While it’s since been established that the folks from Smorgasburg will start selling food on Front Street, New Amsterdam Market hadn’t announced any plans for a 2013 season — until Friday, when it tweeted a cryptic link to a countdown. The vendor market will return on June 23, and rumor has it that founder Robert LaValva is changing the format this time around. Full details to come soon.
