• Grass Fed uses Mother’s Day as a logical occasion to launch a kids’ menu for Mother’s Day— including free brunch to kids 12 and under with an adult’s brunch. There will be dishes ranging from bread pudding French toast to shrimp and grits and a breakfast burger.

• Benny’s Chop House knows you’re going to dress up, so they’ll give you a complimentary family photo if you come in for their special Mother’s Day menu from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.

• mk restaurant promises a complimentary champagne toast and a gift bag filled with salon goodies for any mom who comes in.

• This is cool if expensive— The Peninsula will set up a buffet including food from all of its restaurants, including The Lobby, Shanghai Terrace and Pierrot Gourmet. It’s $144 per adultm $42 for kids under 12.

• Takashi will have a big blowout honoring Chef Takashi’s 85-year-old mom (still cooking every day, he says), featuring some of the dishes she taught him in a 10 course tasting menu dinner for $100 ($60 for optional wine pairing).

• Filini Bar & Restaurant will have Italian specials for brunch or dinner including bluepoint oysters with hibiscus mignonette sauce, raviolo con uovo, a traditional Italian dish with spinach, pine nuts, ricotta, golden raisings and topped with an egg, and lamb porterhouse.

• Sepia’s special shared brunch menu will include pork rillettes crostini with red wine and onion jam, roasted mushroom crepes with black truffle cream; as well as breakfast strata, crunchy French toast and desserts from pastry chef Cindy Schuman such as buttercrunch cake with raspberry sauce. It’s $48 per person for adults and $26 for kids.

• Spiaggia will do a rare daytime service for lunch from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. while its more casual relation Bar Toma will have an updated brunch menu and a tableside Bellini Bar ($12 each).

• Another lavish spread, from North Pond— a three-course brunch or dinner for $75 per person, featuring two word dishes such as Lobster, Mango; Beef, Horseradish; and Strawberry, Champagne.

• Shaw’s Crab House Chicago offers a buffet from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 featuring brunch items plus Shaw’s-ish things like king crab legs. It’s $55 per adult and kids 12 and younger eat for free.

• Del Frisco’s will serve lavish a la carte items from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., with a kids menu as well— and anyone making the reservation gets a $25 gift card.

• Forget trying to wow Mom— give the job to a professional like Fabio Viviani. Siena Tavern will be open for brunch starting at 10 a.m. with its regular menu plus specials like lobster hash and truffle scrambled eggs. This is a test, incidentally, to see if they should do brunch every week.

• Red Door will have a three-course Mother’s Day brunch for $20 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

• Now this feels like a mom: Gather chef Ken Carter will greet guests with a complimentary tray of fresh-from-the-oven pastries. They’ll be serving from 10 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

• Vera will do a very Spanish brunch including tortillas espanola and baked eggs with chorizo; it will also cross the border for French toast with bananas, hazelnuts and maple syrup.

• Brasserie by LM will have Mother’s Day Mimosas for $7 and a Mimosa-and-entree special for $25; there’s also a kids’ menu for $5 (milk not Mimosas).

• Carnivale will open early for brunch from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., with the dinner menu available from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.

• Telegraph will do Mother’s Day brunch for the first time; first courses include oysters on the half shell and Edward’s ham and pickled shishito pepper, second courses range from striped bass to Eggs Benedict with, yes, Edward’s ham.

• Sprout will do a “Grown Up Kid” brunch for 12 and up only with a three-course menu plus rosé pairings for $65, while sibling Frog n Snail will welcome the whole family with a la carte brunch offerings from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

• Embeya will have a three-course, 10-dish Mother’s Day lunch served family style for $38 per person, including Beef Carpaccio with maitake, marinated peppers, and chili oil and Seafood Stew with coconut, lime, and scallion; look for Danielle Pizzutillo’s White Kimchi Bloody Mary, too.

• Roka Akor has a Mother’s Day Chef’s Brunch Menu from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30, featuring dishes like azuki red bean pancakes and robata-smoked bacon, and a four-course tasting menu for dinner ($65 per person) beginning at 5 p.m.

• Kosher sushi spot Hamachi in Rogers Park has a four-course meal for Jewish mothers (and others)— but you have to reserve by today.

• SushiSamba Rio offers a Bossa Nova Brunch with a Bossa Nova Jazz Band, a variety of Japano-Brazilio-Peruvian dishes, and a special Mom’s Sambatini.

• Here’s a real break from the obvious: lunch or dinner at Pasteur, with a complimentary mimosa for Mom and a Vietnamese recipe book from owner Kim Nguyen (a mom herself).

• South Water Kitchen will put on a grand buffet in the Hotel Monaco ballroom with five stations; it’s from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and runs $40 for adults, $15 per child.

• Bistronomic will have a three-course prix fixe menu for $35, with a two-course children’s menu option for $20.

• The Florentine’s brunch will include Panettone French Toast, House Cured Smoked Salmon and Bagels, Ham and Lamb Carving Stations, Oysters on the Half Shell and more. Moms can also prevent their 19th nervous breakdown at the Bloody Mary Bar or Unlimited Mimosas for $12 per person. Brunch is $55 per person and $20 for children under 12.

• Tavernita will have a 4-course sharing menu, brunch cocktail and more for $35 per guest, from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

• Osteria Via Stato will have a buffet of Italian brunch dishes, ending with ricotta doughnuts, handmade to order. It’s $39.95 per person, half price for kids under 10, free under 5.

• Due Lire will have special Italian dishes at both an a la carte brunch from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., and at dinner from 4:30 p.m. to 9 p.m.

• Post a picture of you and your mom to Toni Patisserie and Cafe’s Facebook page by Mother’s Day and you could win a brunch for two ($40 value).

• Katherine Anne Confections offers a truffle making party Saturday the 11th at 11 a.m.; it’s $60 a person, including mimosa, scones, finger sandwiches and truffles; reserve here.
