In addition to opening Costata, his rib-eye-centric Italian steak house on Spring Street later this week, reps for the expansion-minded Michael White have confirmed to Eater D.C. that the chef’s Altamarea Group will open its second location of the East Village–based pizzeria Nicoletta at the waterfront development the Yards a few months after the D.C. branch of Osteria Morini opens later this year. The pizza place is opening inside two “retail kiosks” within the development, the site reports, which suggests a smaller footprint for Nicoletta’s first foray outside of NYC.
