The wide range of spectacular events scheduled to go down at Katz’s Delicatessen, which celebrates its 125th anniversary at the end of this month, includes an all-day party and a pastrami-eating competition that comes with a $7,500 total cash purse. But here’s an invite for one of the last things we’d ever expect to happen behind the meat-cutter’s counter: On Friday, May 31, Joey Campanaro of the Little Owl will join smooth criminal Danny Bowien of Mission Chinese and Sarabeth Levine of Sarabeth’s fame at the corner of East Houston and Ludlow. The unlikely trio will cook Shabbat dinner featuring a “reimagining of Katz’s signature dishes,” which already sounds really great. Dinner, which has varying tiers of ticket prices, benefits Henry Street Settlement. Reserve your spot here. [Henry Street Settlement, Ifoce, Earlier]
