Food & Wine Names Best New Pastry Chefs 2013

Earlier today, Food & Wine announced the six winners of the magazine's second annual Best New Pastry Chefs in America honor. This year's crop of talent includes Melanie Durant of Atlanta's Empire State South and the Altamarea Group's Bob Truitt. All of the winners will appear in the magazine's July issue, but you can also check them out, straight ahead.

Additionally, Jodi Elliott of Austin's Foreign & Domestic won the People’s Best New Pastry Chef award, which was determined by popular vote.
