Fire broke out in the kitchen early this morning at Adobe Cafe’s old, original branch on Mitchell Street in Roxborough. Fire crews arrived on the scene around 5:20 a.m. to find the popular Tex-Mexer’s kitchen engulfed in flames that were fast spreading to the apartments upstairs, according to NBC Philly. Within 20 minutes the blaze was under control, and thankfully no one was reported injured. However, the kitchen did suffer damage, and crews knocked out windows and doors while battling the fire, which means Adobe is going to be out of commission for a while. What caused the fire, how much damage was suffered, and how long it will stay closed are all a mystery. But the good news is, it’s business as usual at the restaurant’s East Passyunk Avenue outpost.
