Restaurateurs Eric and Bruce Bromberg are still on track to open their stand-alone fried-chicken restaurant later this year at 28 East 1st Street, but this summer they’ll open a beer garden at 190 Allen Street, which will not only serve Southern-style barbecue with sides like black-eyed peas and cornbread, but also a wide variety of snacks like smoked almonds and boiled peanuts. Farmhouse ales and offerings from Japanese brewers will be poured, and the beer garden will open adjacent to the Izakaya in case you really need a fix. [Earlier]
