Wes Lieberher, the chef who helped put Koreatown’s Beer Belly on the map (and Guy Fieri’s show) with dishes like his foie gras Oreos and duck French dip, is now heading up p.s. beverly hills, the new restaurant in the just opened Sirtaj Hotel. A small boutique property with just 32 rooms on a sleepy street, Sirtaj is providing 50 seats both indoors and outdoors for breakfast, lunch, and dinner seven days a week.
Reps for the new restaurant tell us that Lieberher will change his dishes daily, with potential recipes including a $22 hanger steak, grilled and served with bone marrow-stuffed potato tikki, arugula, and pinot noir beef jus, along with starters like fresh mango with Sriracha and lime zest for six bucks, and a $12 grass-fed burger with brussels sprout leaves, nutmeg, pickled shallots, Humboldt Fog goat cheese, and Sriracha aioli. Like every hotel restaurant worth its salt, he also has a club sandwich for lunch, only this one features chipotle bacon, avocado, and lime mayo for $10.
Breakfast dishes may include a Greek yogurt parfait with house-made granola and black Mission figs, and waffles with mint butter and strawberry orange compote. In addition, the restaurant’s bar features classic cocktails along with much more innovative drinks like a “Juniper Dragon” with gin, Thai basil, and dragon fruit, and a “Tiger’s Milk” with rum-infused coconut milk, agave, sweet chili cucumber, and mint.
