Billionaire hotelier Vikram Chatwal was arrested yesterday at the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport after checkpoint workers found he was carrying six grams of heroin, three and a half grams of pot, half a gram of ketamine, Xanax, Klonopin, muscle relaxants, and an undisclosed amount of cocaine. Chatwal, who’s been recently linked to Padma Lakshmi and had been sucked previously into the Lindsay Lohan Vortex of Trouble, owns or manages New York’s Dream Hotel, the Downtown Dream, and Plaza Hotels. The Daily News reports that the hotelier admitted to buying all of the drugs illegally, and could face up to three years in prison if convicted of the most serious charge of felony trafficking, one of eight drug-related charges he now faces.
