Steve Edelson, the owner of Los Globos nightclub in Silver Lake, is suing the city of L.A. for $10 million, claiming he has been unfairly targeted for violations of the Building and Safety department. The storied club magnate has repeatedly found himself at odds with the city, with LAPD yanking his dance and live music permits and civic institutions withholding the permits he needs to make changes at the club, with authorities citing neighborhood noise complaints. Edelson’s attorney tells L.A. Weekly, “They seem to be pretty hell-bent on stopping any form of fun in the city of Los Angeles and in Hollywood these days.” [LAW]
