Sepia Hosts Cochon 555 All-Star Chef’s Dinner

When we (and many others) judged Cochon 555 last year, we quickly learned to check what we thought against what Sepia chef Andrew Zimmerman had to say, because he nearly always thought the same thing we thought… only he knew why he thought it. (Yes, we did both vote in the end for Jason Vincent of Nightwood, who would go on to be, well, you know.) Anyway, we bring this up so as to say, who better to throw the dinner of all dinners during this week’s Cochon 555 Chicago, a benefit for the James Beard Foundation with Zimmerman being joined by Vincent, Stephanie Izard of Girl & the Goat, Pat and Mike Sheerin of The Trenchermen (all of whom were competitors last year), plus Rob Levitt of The Butcher & Landan Larder, Craig Bell of Sub-Zero and Wolf and Cochon 555 founder Brady Lowe. It’s Friday, April 26 from 6 to 10 p.m., it’s seven courses, one from each of the above, and it’s $135 per person; call 312-441-1920 to grab tickets before they’re all gone.
