Nojo Hosts Beer Dinners; East Bay Spice Company Opens in Berkeley

Hayes Valley: On Mondays in June, Nojo (231 Franklin Street) is hosting a series of prix fixe beer dinners, with Japanese cuisine from chef Greg Dunmore, and different beer makers each week. Fifty Fifty will kick things off June 3, and June 10 will be a “gypsy” brewer dinner, featuring Almanac, CaliCraft, and others. Make a reservation here, and note that these are $85 per person including beer. [Grub Street]
Russian Hill: Allegro Romano is expanding nearby with Ala Romana (1098 Jackson Street at Taylor), a casual enoteca and pizzeria, not unlike the upcoming La Nebbia from the La Ciccia team. [Scoop]
Berkeley: A new Indian restaurant and cocktail bar, East Bay Spice Co., has just opened at 2134 Oxford Street. [Eater]
Los Altos: Su Dam Korean restaurant gets the Bargain Bites treatment. [Chron]
