Marja Samsom to Cook at Sauce; Harlem Shake to Open in May

• On May 6, Sauce on the Lower East Side will host guest chef Marja Samsom, who used to cook at the Kitchen Club in Nolita. Ten seats will be available for the six-course tasting menu and reservations can be made by e-mailing KC@thekitchenclub.com. Dinner starts at 8:30 p.m. and is $125 a person including wine, tax, and gratuity. [Grub Street]

Go Go Curry will celebrate its birthday at all four of its Manhattan locations on Sunday, May 5. All single-size curries will be $5 and will come with five free topping coupons and a free T-shirt. [Grub Street]

• Harlem Shake, the new burger and shake restaurant on 124th and Lenox Ave., will open on May 14. It’s outfitted with diner-style bar stools, soda machines, and plastic letter menu boards. Diners have a few weeks to get all of their Harlem Shake jokes out of the way. [Harlem Bespoke]

• Legendary Upper West Side bar the Emerald Inn will close this week after 70 years on Columbus Avenue. Tonight it will open with only burgers and appetizers. The bar will reopen on West 72nd Street, and a Kate Spade will go up in its current location. [West Side Rag]
