Middle School Students Were Refused Lunch for Really Dumb Reasons

That group of 25 middle school kids at the Coelho Middle School in Attleboro, Massachusetts, who were refused lunch outright or were forced to throw the contents of their cafeteria trays in the garbage included students who owed as little as five cents on their “delinquent” accounts, CNN reports. Many of the 180 kids in the cafeteria present when the school’s food service provider decided to crack down on a group who owed money included a number of fifth graders.
