KronnerBurger May Have Flagship on Broadway in Oakland; Charlie Trotter Coming for Special M.Y. China Dinner

Oakland: As reported back in February, Chris Kronner has been hunting for spaces to expand KronnerBurger to Oakland. But as he now tells the East Bay Express, he’s got his eye on two spaces on Broadway, either of which could become the flagship KronnerBurger, with the S.F. location at Bruno’s being just a pop-up that may or may not last. Union Square/Downtown: Recently semi-retired Chicago chef Charlie Trotter is coming to S.F. to cook for one night only at a benefit Sunday supper at M.Y. China on June 9. Yigit Pura will be doing dessert, and the tickets are $200, benefitting the James Beard Foundation and the Chef Martin Yan Scholarship. [Scoop]
Potrero Hill: Pizza Nostra (300 DeHaro at 16th) is closed. [Scoop]
Berkeley: Comal is hosting a winemaker dinner on April 30 featuring Wind Gap owner and winemaker Pax Mahle. Chef Matt Gandin will be pairing dishes like a local halibut cudo with fava beans and black olive-Serrano chile salsa, and a wood-roasted pork loin with Wind Gap wines. Tickets are $90 per person.
