Temporary Closings

Longtime Late-Night Spot Globe Closed Weeknights for Remodeling

Sixteen-year-old Jackson Square staple, Globe, is undergoing a month-long remodel that’s keep the restaurant closed on weeknights, and open only on Friday and Saturday nights, 6 p.m. to 1 a.m. As the Scoop is reporting, it’s all part of a renewed focus on and revamp of the restaurant by owner Joseph Manzare, who closed Joey & Eddie’s in North Beach a couple years back, and is in the process of selling Hecho. Later in the year, after the current dining room remodel, Manzare will close the place again for a total kitchen re-do. Manzare, in case you didn’t know, used to be a partner in Tres/Tres Agaves and owns Zuppa as well. [Scoop]
