Check Out the New Artwork and Refreshed Interior at Frances

Fans of Frances will notice a few things that are different if they drop in to the restaurant now. After a quick closure for a kitchen update and a little repainting, they reopened last week with a little bit of fresh paint, some new chairs, and new ceramic artwork by Berkeley-based Recheng Tsang. See a couple more shots below.

Tsang’s installations feature a series of overlapping ceramic petals that look almost like paper or scraps of fabric, and will appear different as the light changes in the room.

For reference, here’s what it looked like before.
