A former Kentucky Fried Chicken in Chadds Ford is undergoing farm-to-table-ization, and it just might be the coolest thing to happen in the Brandywine burg since the Wyeth clan first put down roots there. A rep for Courtney Rozsas, owner of Lotus Farm to Table in Media, tells Grub that the restaurateur has nearly completed work on what she calls Farmer’s Road Drive Thru, a quick-serve, fast-cas with an affinity for farm-fresh food. It’s set to open on Monday, April 22. Lotus Farm to Table chef Ryan Sulikowski is also on board, and is developing the menu, which we’re told will feature dishes composed with ingredients that are all-natural, organic, and as often as possible, harvested directly from nearby farms.
Menu features include Stadium Dog, an all natural, grass fed beef hotdog, sauerkraut, yellow mustard, on a rye pretzel hotdog bun (option to substitute a vegetarian hotdog); Green Dog, Applegate all natural, grass fed beef hotdog, avocado, watercress, rice cakes, whole-wheat hotdog bun; Beef Burger, a grass fed beef burger, local, organic American cheese, turkey bacon, house dill pickle, lettuce, and mustard on a multigrain bun; and Buffalo Blue, an all natural grilled chicken breast, red onion, hot sauce, blue cheese, watercress, romaine, kettle cooked BBQ potato chip, served in a whole wheat wrap.
Out of the gate, the restaurant will serve breakfast, lunch and dinner every Monday through Saturday from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m.; and just breakfast and lunch on Sundays from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. And yes, the drive-thru will be in full operation.
