The Lee Bros. Coming To Big Jones For Southern Foodways Alliance Dinner April 18

Are we becoming a serious northern outpost for Southern food or what? Big Jones is serious about it all the time, especially in their time-and-place-themed events which we’ve written about more than a few times. And you have to think it’s a form of recognition when chef Paul Fehribach lures celebrated Southern cookbook authors Matt Lee and Ted Lee, whose new book The Lee Bros. Charleston Kitchen is just out, for a dinner benefiting the work of the Southern Foodways Alliance. They call it a Piggy Bank Dinner, and it’s a five course feast plus cocktail reception, beginning at 6 p.m. on Thursday, April 18; the price is $100, of which half will benefit the Southern Foodways Alliance, which chronicles and preserves southern food traditions.
