The Federal Bar, Knitting Factory’s North Hollywood gastropub, is opening a sister restaurant in Long Beach next month. The next Federal Bar will take-over Madison Steakhouse and shine up the building’s 1924-established look with help from New Theme and Spacecraft. Shad Davis, the Toast and Belmont vet behind the original location, will head up the menus with dishes like his IPA-braised short ribs and “Hulk Smash” spuds. The restaurant is trying to open its doors before the LBC’s Toyota Grand-Prix on April 19.
