Mette Williams, a Spago and Cut vet and the former chef at Lexington Social House and Areal, is now the executive chef at Culina. Such is the world we live in today that Williams didn’t earn her position through her hard work, glowing resume, and a sterling reputation alone, but from a victory on a reality cooking show. The chef claimed victory last night on Chef Wanted With Anne Burrell, taking the top slot at the three-year-old Four Seasons restaurant as her prize.

Her appointment follows such other television-procured jobs as Hell’s Kitchen’s Nona Sivley at LA Market and that lady from The Taste that Ludo just hired.

Williams’ new dishes include zupetta with steamed mussels and charmoula, sardine bruschetta with burrata, and ricotta and egg yolk ravioli with crab ragu and lemon. Today she tells The L.A. Times, “I had a job if I don’t make it; what do I have to lose? “

In any case, we’re sure Larry Flynt will be a big fan.
