Its annual awards ceremony is right around the corner, and today the nonprofit James Beard Foundation announced it’ll award more than $484,000 in funds to both aspiring and currently working culinary professionals. Scholarships include full-tuition offers from culinary schools, work-study programs, and a variety of unique opportunities for chefs and sommeliers looking to get out of their restaurants for a while and travel and work with producers. Online application forms for the submissions period beginning April 1 are here, and more information on the variety of the Foundation’s programs can be found here. [JBF, Earlier]
