Hirsch Surprised By Decent Food at the Nespresso Café

We had previously neglected to highlight the opening of the Nespresso Boutique and Café that opened at 90 Grant Street, thinking it was just a glorified retail shop for the coffee machines. But critic Jesse Hirsch finds that despite an overly descriptive menu, there’s plenty to recommend the food there, which he calls "rustic, homey and approachable." He likes a Lyonnaise salad, a well prepared grilled cheese and tomato soup, and the espresso-braised short rib sliders. And, the "Jetsons-style" interior he finds to be a "refreshing … breather from Edison bulbs and reclaimed wood." [Examiner]
