We’re three years in to the life of one of San Francisco’s most popular and respected neighborhood restaurants, Frances, and chef-owner Melissa Perello announces that the place is closing for a brief remodel starting next week. This will include a completely new kitchen, a refreshed look in the dining room, and a new “ceramics installation,” as Ms. Tablehopper reports. They’ll go dark from March 31 to April 8, and some of the staff will get a much needed vacation, it sounds like. So don’t freak out and email us if you see the place closed on what would usually be a busy weeknight. Everything’s cool. [Tablehopper, Earlier]
