Its old digs may be turning into a Kate Spade store, but Emerald Inn owner Charlie Campbell tells West Side Rag that his compact and 70-year-old dive bar will break new ground (and get some more breathing room) when it moves to West 72nd Street in the old home of P.D. O’Hurley’s, which closed last month. Citing a rent hike, Campbell said the bar would likely be closed by May. Today he confirms the bar only has about 30 days left, but will reopen a few blocks north on June 1. [West Side Rag, Earlier]
