Burger Lounge, the San Diego import that has quickly caught on with Angelenos, is expanding to Santa Monica next week. The grass-fed burger joint will open its third local location (its ninth in total) this Wednesday on Arizona Street right off the Promenade. Over the first two days, proceeds from select menu items will go to the local chapter of Growing Great, the national non-profit planting edible gardens in schools. The shop will also feature an elk burger with jicama slaw, duck cracklings, and chipotle aioli, which is hardly compensation for the fact that L.A. has no destination of its own for a good horse burger.
