Bitters, Bock & Rye Softly Opens; La Ciccia Closed Next Week for Sound Baffling

Tenderloin: Bitters, Bock & Rye, a new bar and brewpub, has just quietly opened in the former Maharani space at 1122 Post Street (at Polk). It’s a project we heard about last summer, involving a couple of partners from nearby Blur, and Tenderlife shows us the opening menu, which features an IPA Burger ($14), Carolina pulled pork ($12), and Alabama-style rubbed chicken with smoked mozzarella ($12). Noe Valley: La Ciccia, kind of like Frances, is taking a brief spring break next week, closing Sunday to Thursday, to install some sound baffles in the dining room. [Eater]
Nob Hill: Newly installed Parallel 37 chef Michael Rotondo (see his illustrated opening menu here) has just recruited two of his fellow Charlie Trotter’s alums to come out from Chicago: pastry chef Andrea Correa, and sous chef Mitchell Nordby. [Scoop]
