Northeast L.A. and Downtown are both swimming in suds these days, while Westside L.A. is limited to the wonderful El Segundo Brewing Co. as its sole option for growlers and tasting tours. So no wonder that hearts leap to see Mulholland Brewing Company fermenting in the region, planning a microbrewery and taproom from native Angelenos with over 20 years of brewing experience who plan to “brew beer that reflects our unique climate, culture, and cuisine.”

The new beer business comes from Brett Wilson and Tomas Sidenfaden, along with their investors. The two owners have been awarded at several home-brewing and pro-am competitions in the last few years, including wins for their Berliner Weisse and American IPA at Pacific Brewer’s Cup and third place wins at the last LA County Fair for a Belgian sour and American pale ale.

No word from the company on its exact location or debut date, though we’re placing bets on Culver City and see the two are actively in the process of brewing now.
