Upping the odds that your day will be a good day, Fatburger is opening its first Downtown store just a bun’s toss from The Staples Center, thus shortening your path from watching the Lakers beat the Supersonics before tucking into fifties rock and 1,300 calories of XXL. Since In-N-Out is being so coy about expanding, leaving the city’s core bereft of Double-Doubles, Fatburger might best benefit from serving ‘em where they ain’t. 888 S. Figueroa St. Downtown.
