The smell of bacon was in the air as the pig-centric Cochon555 Tour swept through New Pork City last night, marking the launch of the event's Fifth Anniversary Tour. The all-female lineup consisted of Alex Guarnaschelli, Missy Robbins, Leah Cohen, Shanna Pacifico, and Elizabeth Falkner all cooking for the title of "Princess of Porc" and the opportunity to compete against other Cochon555 tour winners at Grand Cochon later this year. In the end, Missy Robbins took home the bacon, impressing the judges with her classic and refined approach to Italian cuisine. Click through the slideshow to see it all.
Fresh off his trip to Bocuse d'Or, Gavin Kaysen was one of 22 judges.
Butcher Sarah Bigelow (the Meat Hook) broke down a whole Berkshire hog for all to see.
Contestant Elizabeth Falkner (Krescendo) was all smiles.
On the contrary, Alexandra Guaranschelli was nervous and on edge all evening long (fear of being chopped, perhaps?).
Alex Guaranschelli's Chinese New Year offerings, inspired by her father's secret Asian Ingredient pantry and his mad skills behind a wok (and no, he is not Chinese).

Pork battle aside, C555 NYC served as the launching ground for Punch Kings, a mixology battle where one winner will attend and serve at Grand Cochon is Aspen.
The winning plate from Missy Robbins consisting of testa (pig's head), fegato (liver), proscuitto cotto (ham and eggs), polpetti (ricotta stuffed meatballs), tortelli (bacon filled pasta), and stufato (feet and skin).
Shanna Pacifico's pork face nuggets.
Missy Robbins (A Voce) equally focused on getting it just right not only for the judges, but the guests as well.
As an homage to her Brazilian heritage and regular Sunday suppers growing up, Shanna Pacifico prepared a feijoada with smoked ribs, blood sausage, smoked belly, and black beans.
Competitor Leah Cohen (Pig & Khao) plates up her offerings for the judges.
Leah Cohen's Filipino-inspired dishes including Dinuguan (blood stew), crispy pata, fermented sausage, and a spicy chicarron.
After all the judging was done, Sue Torres (Sueños) served up a Mexican family meal feast for participating chefs, staff, and guests.
2010 Cochon555 NYC alum and winner Brad Farmerie (the Kitchen/Saxon + Parole), judging this time around.
