Osteria La Buca, no stranger to far-out stunts, is seemingly taking its latest cue from the world of Korean barbecue, turning a glassed-in upstairs space into an all-you-can-eat pasta and wine-swilling bacchanal. The Melrose Italian is branding its private dining option “The Dinner Party,” making way for a minimum of six and maximum of ten guests to come in for a family-style meal sans cessation for the entire night. What’s on the menu?
Priced at $30 per person, dinner starts with salad and bread straight from the oven, followed by spaghetti and meatballs, all unlimited and including the company of house wine by the carafe. La Buca swears the food will not stop coming until the white flag is waved and only one reservation will be available per night, allowing guests to take control of the sound system and linger with carb-saddled bellies for as long as they can stand it.
Reservations can be made at 323-462-1900.
