An entrepreneur says he invested $1 million on Masaharu Morimoto’s long-in-the-works Tribeca Canvas but was ousted from the restaurant’s team when he was unable to contribute more money. Michael Wainstein filed a claim in Manhattan Supreme Court and says he just wants to be able to rejoin Morimoto and two other partners at the restaurant and tap back into his 18 percent share.
