Next Tuesday, chef Eric Park is reopening Black Hogg in Silver Lake, following its temporary closure in late August to make room for the acclaimed restaurant’s beer and wine license. Opening without a liquor license didn’t deter Park (who’d worked under Dan Barber, Wylie Dufresne, and David Chang, among other notable names) from racking up raves from S. Irene Virbila and The Man with The Golden Touch for his wild mushrooms on a brioche box and porky proclivities.
After a more than two-month absence, Besha Rodell reports that the gastropub is officially reopening on Tuesday, with Eater expecting rotating beer and wine, and new dishes like a Chianti-braised flat-iron and Berkshire prosciutto served with fried crescentina dough.
Black Hogg, 2852 W Sunset Blvd. Silver Lake; 323-953-2820.
