We predict this will be the Winter of Ramen around the Bay, with newbies on the scene like Roku and Kirimachi, stalwarts like Izakaya Sozai and Ramen Dojo, not to mention Hapa and The Ramen Shop on their way. And now Zagat brings word of a new late-night ramen pop-up at the recently opened Hopscotch in Oakland’s Uptown. Chef Kyle Itani is calling it Yonsei Ramen Shop, and it will run every Friday from 11 p.m. to 2 a.m. starting this week, and there will be one meat and one vegetarian option, for $9 each.
