Tim Spinner and Brian Sirhal, the duo behind well received restaurants Cantina Feliz in Fort Washington, and La Calaca Feliz in the city’s Fairmount neighborhood, are blowing up with yet another spot. This time it’s in Manayunk. The Insider reports that Spinner and Sirhal will set up Taqueria Feliz in a vacant shoe store and an occupied fortune teller’s lair on Main Street. Belvedere Restaurant Group, the folks behind Agiato and troubled Tapestry were reportedly working on bringing a restaurant to life in the same spot, but passed. Team Feliz envisions a casual, South Philly style taqueria with craft beers that they intend to name Taqueria Feliz. They hope to have it up and running by spring 2013. [Insider]
