After Hummer Bummer, RUB Introduces ‘Barbecue Atelier’

Representatives of RUB BBQ send word that the restaurant has repaired the damages caused last month by a runaway Hummer, and now they’re ready to move on to something completely different: Starting November 8, the restaurant will open its smoker doors to local chefs and ‘cue experts for a collaborative “changing, experimental, avant-garde menu” that is only available during late-night hours. “We want to do for barbecue what Ssäm Bar did for Asian flavors,” says owner Andrew Fischel. The restaurant will use heritage-breed meat for its “Barbecue Atelier”; the special menu will be paired with cocktails and craft beer and will only be available from 10 p.m. to midnight, Thursdays through Sundays.
