Rex 1516, which is one of the recent arrivals that’s helping to boost the west side of South Street’s status as a growing restaurant row, just issued new seasonal updates to its steeped-in-Southern-hospitality menu. And as most menu changes this time of year go, it’s chock full of apples, butternut squash, pears, sweet potatoes, but surprisingly no pumpkins. Though a bit predictable, new plates like the braised lamb shank, curried collard greens, and a black pepper and maple syrup-glazed cornish hen show some promise.
